Intensive Courses
Common Entrance
We provide coaching for the Common Entrance examination for entry at 11+ and 13+ to independent schools, as well as for the scholarship papers set by various public schools such as Eton, St Paul's, Westminster and Winchester. Tuition is available during the Easter, Christmas, half-term and summer holidays, as it is throughout the year. Students may sit their Common Entrance examinations with us if, for any reason, they are unable to do so at school.
What is Common Entrance?
Common Entrance is the examination in a range of subjects which pupils take, usually at the age of thirteen, for entry into independent secondary schools. The schools decide the marks required for entry and these can vary considerably. Some of the more competitive schools will be looking for an average score of 65% or above. Some schools also set their own scholarship papers, in which the expected standard is higher.
