WHAT HAPPENS WITH UCAS ON A LEVEL RESULTS DAY?
On this page we will explain what happens with UCAS on A level results day, which falls on Thursday 14 August in 2025. The very best of luck to all of our students – we do know this is a very stressful day for everyone, but every year our students do remarkably well with their UCAS applications so you are in safe hands.
You will receive an email from the college at 8 am telling you what your A level results are. At the same time – 8 am on A level results day – you should also be able to log in to the UCAS Hub and go to the track your application page to check your application status.
Here we answer your questions about what your UCAS application status might say on A level results day and what you should do next:
Here are some important things to make sure you are well prepared for A level results day:
- Log into the UCAS Hub and make sure all of your contact details are correct and up-to-date
- To get the best opportunity for the support that we will all be on hand to offer, you should make sure that you and your family are in London on results day
- Check your A level results and your UCAS application status promptly at 8 am on results day. If you have any problems, you should immediately make your way into college so we can help you. Make sure your mobile has minutes and bring your laptop!
- Our UCAS Adviser Virginia spends 8-9 am researching options for any and all students who need help and so she is not available during this hour. This means she is able to give the best advice to everyone who needs it by 9 am, so you should try to arrive in college by this time.
- If you are overseas, despite any time differences, you need to check your application status at 8 am BST so that you are able to act quickly if needed. You should make sure you are well prepared and have full internet access, plus you will need to make sure that you have the resources to make international calls if needed. Be aware that there can be long waiting times to get through to universities.
- Please note that on results day Virginia may be busy or on the phone, so if you are in college it is much easier for her to check in on you at regular intervals, and other members of the senior team will also be there to support you and your family.
