Welcome to our New Principal

We are pleased to welcome our new Principal, Sean Doherty, who will replace Joe Mattei at the end of the academic year.

Sean, current Deputy Head of School and Founding Teacher at North Bridge House School, was the outstanding candidate from an extensive recruitment process and we have no doubt he will be a fantastic replacement for Joe.

As Sean says, ‘I am delighted and looking forward to joining the Westminster Tutors college community. The college’s aim of offering the leading tutorial teaching and inclusive pastoral support to ensure all students exceed their aspirations resonates deeply with my values as an educator.’

Joe wishes to thank everyone who has supported him over his 10 years working at Westminster Tutors, the last six as a senior leader. He will be moving away from education, returning to a career as a screenwriter. He looks forward to staying in touch with everyone at WT, and wishes the college the very best for a bright future under Sean’s leadership.
