Congratulations to our GCSE students who received excellent results today! Well done on your hard work throughout this year, and all the best for your future studies.

Results day has certainly been unique this year, and despite the strange circumstances, students at Westminster Tutors have achieved some excellent A level results.

Westminster Tutors is perhaps uniquely able as a school to respond to Coronavirus. While keeping any physical environment safe is only ever a matter of reducing risk, one to one tuition is safer than classroom teaching.

The final run up to A level results day is always very nerve-wracking, and the difficult circumstances this year mean, I fear, that some of you are feeling more worried than usual.

This summer there were no A level or GCSE exams and all grades will be awarded via centre assessment. This means that the usual post-results services, such as access to scripts and reviews of marking, will not be applicable.

Following the cancellation of A level and GCSE exams for the summer 2020 series, Ofqual have confirmed that an autumn exam series will be held in October 2020 for A levels and November 2020 for GCSEs.

In response to the global coronavirus pandemic, this year’s summer A level and GCSE exams have been cancelled. Students will still be awarded grades as they would in any other year, but these will be calculated from centre assessment grades.

The DfE have just published the 16-18 performance tables for 2019 A level results, and Westminster Tutors has achieved exceptional results!

This year A level results will be released on Thursday 15 August 2019. Westminster Tutors students will be able to email, phone or come in for their results from 9am on results day.

If your A level results didn’t turn out quite as you’d expected, don’t give up hope just yet. There are still options available to you, and among those are revising for your A level retakes.
