New Principal for Westminster Tutors from Sept 2020

I will be continuing at Westminster Tutors in a part-time capacity, acting as Senior Consultant and Director of Studies. My role will include supporting the students with their UCAS applications and supporting the teachers with their professional development.
I have been Principal of Westminster Tutors for the past 13 years and am proud of what has been achieved over this time. It is of course our staff and students who make the college what it is today so my thanks to each and every one of you.
My mother took her A levels at Westminster Tutors when the college was still being run by its founder Miss Freeston. I think Miss Freeston would be proud of what Westminster Tutors is 85 years later and, most importantly, of what our students have achieved. Not only challenges but also opportunities lie ahead, and I look forward with confidence to celebrating our centenary.
This announcement may come as a surprise to some, but our Proprietor David Game and I confirmed Joe Mattei’s appointment as Principal back in February. Of course coronavirus has intervened in all of our lives since then, but Joe and I will be working together over summer to ensure a smooth and seamless transition to the new academic year.
Joe has already been with Westminster Tutors for 7 years and I really cannot think of a better person than him to take over as Principal. His intelligence, integrity and commitment are I think known to you all, and I am confident that he will bring new energy and direction, whilst also preserving what is so special and unique about Westminster Tutors.
